Brief Description

According to Article 17 of the Law on Elimination of Violence Against Women (EVAW), if a person commits sexual assault on an adult woman, the offender shall be sentenced to continued imprisonment in accordance with the provision of Article 426 of the Penal Code, and if it results to death of the victim, the perpetrator shall be sentenced to death penalty. If a person commits sexual assault with an underage woman, the offender shall be sentenced to the maximum continued imprisonment according to the provision of Article 426 of Penal Code, and if it results to death of the victim, the perpetrator shall be sentenced to death penalty.
